Built as a private residence, the Summer House sits amongst the mangroves, offering guests the ultimate villa experience on a beach that is occupied by very few visitors and locals. The local fisherfolk visits the beach early morning to take their catamarans out to sea, one of our favorite attractions. Our staff can source fresh fish on request from their morning catch or guests can wander out to take a look at themselves.
The rooms are simply designed to provide guests a relaxed, calm environment. Linen is changed every three days. Pool and bath towels with amenities are also on offer for guests as well as tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. Guests can dine in the main dining room on the ground floor of the villa or on our rooftop. For the ultimate morning, experience asks for breakfast on the balcony/patio.
Ambalangoda beach is a private stretch of beach located just past the main town and within a short drive to a multitude of activities on offer such as water skiing, turtle hatcheries, temples, shopping, markets, and the famed mask museum.
